Glock 17, 19, 26, 34 Gen 4/5 9mm 33 Round Factory Magazine
This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. I know there are a lot of them and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the light, thin and invisible Glock 17 Gen 4 in full size 9mm feels great with a backstrap with a beavertail because NATO FMJs are good practice and not trash. High pressure for affordable practice ammunition. I usually use the Glock 21 NATO 239 grain .45 acp models, but this is my 2nd favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 yet and am generally more comfortable with the Glock Gen 4. A better recoil assembly could help with any FTE or irregular ejection issues.

I bought it pretty much used without knowing its history. I modified the trigger and firing pin assemblies to improve the trigger pull and added fiber optics. It was 100% reliable! I have owned it for about 7 years. Steel case, factory rebuilt and old ammo - it just eats it up and spits it out! I own a collection of pistols and I buy and sell them, but I will keep this one.
I bought a G17, Gen4 to have a single action 9mm to use on the range. I previously shot a double action .40 cal. Ease of shooting and feeling is excellent. It includes different sizes of back straps, which is definitely a plus. I installed the Ultimate Pyramid Flat Face Trigger Assembly, Extended Slide Release and Optics. But it shoots very well right out of the box. All in all I spent about $900 on this gun which is worth it in my opinion. Fits well in hand, accurate, minimal recoil, sharp trigger break and quick reset, good balance and reliability. Drawing from the holster is smooth, but not too big for concealment. Great for gun range and used in tactical operations. We highly recommend this gun for new or experienced shooters.

I have owned my Gen4 Glock 17 for several years and think it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the "Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly" and fiberglass sights. These options only enhance the capabilities of this gun. In addition, the large back strap and the beaver tail provide a good feel and comfort. The design angle and size make a good grip when pulling comfortably and smoothly. Needless to say, this is critical to getting crosshair alignment speed for a quick shot on target. As a service firearm, it is light, so you won't get tired of carrying a heavy gun all day. In the field or tactical, accuracy is excellent. Right or left handed shooting is not a problem as it is well balanced. Whether it's accurate shots or rapid fire, I haven't had a malfunction yet. In conclusion, I highly recommend this gun for home defense, business, or competitive shooting.
In 2015, my friends and I once got into a situation where we had no oil or cleaning kit and almost nothing came out. It was the British Army, and we were excited not to clean our guns, plus we were shaking like a two-stroke engine that the gun wouldn't fire after a few rounds. Turns out I got up close and personal and this thing just went on and on throughout the entire contact. I still have dreams about this gun I got and how it saved my life.
You can't fold it, it just keeps the carbon from the parts in your kit. The sights drove me crazy, but when you have the power of a gun, guess what. It works. Thanks for my life Glock :).

I have had my Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I still use it as my duty for a number of reasons; Durability, accuracy, versatility, weight, ammo count, balance, etc. The only changes I made to my weapon are; Pyramid trigger, TruGlo optic sights, competition grade stainless steel recoil spring and grip band. All these things were bought through. Thanks to the "Backstram" option, the gun fits perfectly in my hand. While I have a few other handguns, the Glock 17, Gen 4 is my go-to handgun and I always feel confident with it by my side.
I have a Gen 2 G17, never missed it. I changed to newer magazines. The original cartridges are starting to crack. I replaced the springs and replaced the clutch. I've probably put 3000 rounds through it and I bet my life on it. I now have 5 glocks and have not had a problem with any of them.
