Svska Galanite Industri, commonly known as Galanite, was a Swedish vinyl and plastics company based in Löddeköpinge, which mainly produced toys. Cars were most popular, but trucks, agricultural vehicles and airplanes and toy foods such as tea were also produced.

The plastic company Galanite was started in 1947 by two Danish immigrants in Sweden named Ludwig Hawaleschka and Børge Hans. The first product was a transparent ball with an angel inside. Galanite became a supplier of plastic parts to the industry, including a supplier of parts to Volvo. However, their toy cars soon became the mainstay of the company. When the company flourished in the late 1950s and into the 1960s, it employed 125 people (Plastibar website). Different plastics were used; Soft PVC (for toys), polyethylene and polish.

Most of the Galanite cars produced were in 1:42 scale, but the company also made large scale pedal cars. Swedish vehicles such as Volvo, Saab and Scania trucks were common, possibly with Galanite parts and promotional links, but Volkswags and other vehicles such as the Mercedes Bz and BMC Mini were also made. Like most rubber vehicles, the construction consisted of only seven parts: a molded vinyl body, two metal axles and four plastic wheels. These toys are a hit with kids - soft vinyl, rounded edges and fun colors.
Other Galanite toys were of a larger scale (1:30) and had a less realistic design, with for example some cleaner edges of the realistic design of a smooth or agile car. The models are not numbered below and usually just say "Galanite Swed".
Production dates for Galanite Toys ranged from the late 1960s to the 1970s. The ones produced are similar in concept to what Tomte Laerdal produced in Norway, or what the Auburn Rubber Company produced in the US, but Galanite cars are injection molded vinyl.
Some examples were specially detailed for vinyl, such as the SAAB 96 with a very straight d, correct body proportions and the SAAB logo on the boot lid. The model almost looks like an advertising company, but none come close to the detail of the Finnish Stahlberg models that were built as promotional models for SAAB and Volvo.

Galanite was purchased from Branch & Co. in 1971. was sold to, and three years later the company moved to a new factory in Arlöv. Galanite was liquidated in 1979. The company was renamed Bgtsfors Plastic Industries a few years later, which also went out of business. Later, the MPV was named Galanite. Some cars were made this way by MPV, but branded Galanite. It was a unique collaboration between Nordic toy manufacturers, who often sold their own patterns. Galanite toys are also produced by HP-Plast in Denmark, by Giske in Norway and by Plasto in Finland.
